This happened a couple years after I bought the car. Mice get in the duct-work and fill it with nests. It blocks the fan and burns out the switch control. John assumed the unpleasant task of tearing the dash apart, removing the fan and cleaning out the nests (and two dead mice). The 30 amp fan fuse was blown and a new blower motor resistor was purchased from Ford ($16.76). Works great, but stinks! ( Aug 23, 2003 ) |
