( 500cc Mini-Sprints - #33 Lacey Hanson and #04 Zach Herbert )
Saturday night Bear Ridge hosted the Granite State Mini-Sprints along with their regular full card of racing.

The Mini-Sprints run motorcycle engines and drive components and were divided into two classes. The 500cc class have stock only Honda, Yamaha or Suzuki four cycle single cylinder, single carburetor, air cooled engines and run readily available fuel or pump gas.
The 600cc class use single cylinder four stroke modified engines and 600cc multi-cylinder four stroke stock engines and may use alcohol for fuel.

The 500cc class is pretty tame but the 600's get it on! If you haven't seen these folks race you owe to yourself to check them out.

Track Preparation

Track owner/operator Butch Elms often jokes with Dick Therrien, manager of RiverSide Speedway, that all Dick needs for a Saturday is a broom and a bag of speedy-dry. That may sound a little understated, but compared to what a dirt track needs, asphalt is relatively easy.
Pack, pack and pack.
All division cars are asked to participate in the prep process.
