While I headed north to RiverSide Speedway Saturday night, Amber, armed with my Sony H5 SuperZoom, headed south to WMMP. The PASS Super Late Models were in town for their 2009 WMMP debut, but Amber's focus was on the "real" show, the local racers.

Wreckers and checkers. What's up with that? Derek Stone won the feature. Amber talked to him and here's the deal . . . "His motor caught fire because he overreved his engine while doing his burnout on his victory lap. When he overreved his engine, oil shit out of the overflow tube and onto the exhaust causing a fire."
