WMMP - North Woodstock, NH ~ Race Observations ~ |
|
Tonight I returned again to WMMP as a racing fan, not a photographer, and I'm sure glad I did!
I think "hellacious" is a good word for the heat at the track this afternoon. When I pulled into the parking lot, around 5:00 PM, my car's thermometer said 83, and I was in the shade.
The racing was good. Nick Pilotte won again and Brock Davis had a great night and was the guy to beat, after winning his heat race and the semi-feature.
Brock quickly took the lead in the feature and dominated until a lap 40 caution. On the restart Oren Remick's #21 was on the outside and was willing and able. Oren and Brock raced side-by-side for a couple of laps and then Oren took the lead and drove on to take the checkered flag. |

| Passumpsic, VT resident, Steve Denio, decided he wanted to go racing in 2009. He purchased a 'project car' and is spending his Saturday nights racing in the mini-stock division at WMMP. Steve is a one-man show, arriving at the track alone with his faithful pickup and race car in tow. When needed the #21 late model team supplies a helping hand. It doesn't get anymore grassroots than this! Steve finished 6th tonight in his feature event.
