" Lakes Region Ice Racing Club "
~ Great Family Fun ! ~

Racing every Sunday thru mid March starting at 12:30 pm at Berry or Lee Pond.
"The Lakes Region Ice Racing Club is a nonprofit organization that began in 1979. It consists of automobiles competing against each other on a one third mile oval track on a frozen pond. There are 5 classes of cars to compete in. They are stock, modified, four cylinder front wheel drive, four cylinder rear wheel drive and four cylinder junior. Each class has their own rules as well as safety rules for all."
Today I attended my first ice racing event and thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend it for all you summer short-track racers that are looking for a racing fix this winter. They have it all, from 4 cylinders to winged modifieds. You'll see plenty of good racing and admission is $7.00 a carload.
(Enjoy the pictures.)
First up is this fantastic classic.

Stock class.
