On Saturday RiverSide Speedway was conducting a Goodyear tire test for the Super Stock division. These are the tires that the Thunder Road Tigers run and General Manager, Jean LeBlanc, wanted to give his teams an opportunity to check them out. I don't have to tell any of you folks that it was a real treat seeing cars on the track in early April making lots of noise.
It was refreshing to witness a track manager supplying his facility and the tires to his teams and letting them, and only them, have the say on which tires they would be running in 2010.

So, we have a few race cars, a grill, plenty of cold beverages and four Goodyear racing tires. What could even get better than this on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in early April?

2009 Super Stock track champion Luke Shannon climbed behind the wheel of the Gilcris camaro and gave the Goodyears a workout. No one gets around the RiverSide high banks better than Luke.

With the test completed it's now in the hands of the teams and drivers whether they will be running the Goodyears or the American Racers in 2010.
