As a kid growing up in Tamworth, NH Jack loved racing. You name it, the asphalt at Oxford Plains, local dirt tracks or winter ice racing, it was all cool.
In 1978 Jack and a couple of his buddies put together a modest ice racer and set out for Meredith Bay. Little did he know what kind of an adventure the next 30 years would be.
And of course, once you have a race car, you need to race. In 1980 Jack headed for the regional dirt tracks and started his winning ways. Championships at Norway Pines followed in 1989 and 1994. Over the years Cook's Racing completed at the regional dirt tracks including a Coupe and modified entries at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, VT.
Dirt is wonderful, but Jack always loved the ICE. |

| Jack bought this NY dirt modified in 2000. It came with a Kneisel chassis and was equipped with Troyer parts. Hiding under the hood is a 454 big block and a Holly 750 4-barrel. Welcome to the world of ICE Racing!
